Shadowrun Dream Chipper session 1

Players: Jamas, Sharon, Chris, Joshua and Eldon

I’ve been having a mad itch to scratch lately, and that itch is Shadowrun. Every version of Shadowrun from 1 to the most current incarnation of 5th edition has been rather … heavy, rules wise. So I decide to break out the old Leverage game from Margarett Weiss productions and give it a go using the Cortex system. This game is set firmly in the original Shadowrun Universe circa 2050 and we are playing through the Dream Chipper scenario written for the first edition of the game. Enjoy!

The Podcast will soon be 4 years old!

While cleaning up the feed today I noticed that the first episode ran November 6th 2009. That means we will soon be 4 years running! Woot!

Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures
one shots

*Players: Richard, Sharon, Eldon and Chris

Beyond the Wall is an OSR/D20 system, in other words pretty generic BUT it arrives there in interesting story-game style ways. I collected a gaggle of players willing to give it a shot, and here is the mess we made.

The audio was pretty bad once I got in to do the editing, something that I did not notice during the skype call itself. Mostly due to my microphone coming in waaaaaaay too low and having to compress the recording enough to match voice levels left a crap-ton of audio artifact. My apologies, it’s cleaned up the best I could manage.

Welcome Chris to the gaming group! He’s been a long time listener to the podcast and finally gets to join in a game.

Computer Disaster!

Well, the only Windows computer that I have in the house (unfortunately it IS the recording computer) died as I was trying to edit audio for the Podcast feed. Why do I use the windows box you ask? ….well, Powergrammo (the recording software I use) is Windows ONLY. I’m going to try and get something setup for the weekend so I can get back into the gaming and podcasting. I’ll keep people posted. Likely i’m going to have to build a new computer and find new software to use for the actual recordings as I don’t have the original Windows disks anymore to do the re-install – also windows 7 doesn’t like your hardware to change too much or it thinks you’re trying to pirate it. The hard drives are fine, and I still have all the terabytes of audio that still needs to be edited. None of that was lost. Anyways, I’ll keep you guys posted.
